this is going to help me tell someone about what happened to me.
I got Strep Thorat Amona Meningitis, when i was 12, im 14 now, and i got short term memoery loss because of it. Everyone thinks they know everything about it, so i saw this page and hopefully it will help him understand more about what i went threw.

They may indeed form naturally. As mentioned above, when PVD occurs, the vitreous gel may pull on the retina, causing tears in it. This usually tends to happen at an older age, although in people who are near sighted it may occur earlier in life.

I have a question in regards to preventative maintenance. If you don't compete in sports or have any serious contact with your eyes, can something such as a hole or even tear form naturally?

An ENT suggested before getting up and out of bed in the a.m. Do 5 to 6 sit up type exercise... It helps to balance the fluid in our inner ear. Years ago this happened to me and exercise helped a lot. It's happening again..especially with certain head/neck movement. Started doing the sit up motion and it seems to help.

Thank you for the info. My mum is going through similar symptoms. However, she mentioned that the head spinning first starts with the cooling sensation in her heart. She describes the cooling sensation as of our skin when in contact with cold ice. Does anyone have any clue of this symptom? Thanks

Hi my name is Alora, my daughter Christal was first daignosed with TTP in October 2010.We learned of this disease by having to rush her to the ER, for what we thought was a very abnormal menstrual cycle.I must say I was very devastated with this news .She was 15 at that time. We were blessed that we were in Memphis TN where we have two of the best children hospitals, Lebonheur Children Hospital and world known St Jude Children Cancer Research Hospital. We were going to celebrate our 1 year TTP free anivesery this month. Unfortunately 1 week ago she was hospitalized with TTP again . Our doctors are wanting to try a chemotherapy drug " Rituxin. I have done very little research on this medication . Have anyone else been given this drug for treatment ? I pray that it work and that she can live the rest of her life TTP free. And to everyone that has TTP. a loveone with it or have lost a loveone to TTP , my prayers are with you.

I was shocked after seeing this episode. That was exactly the ex wife of my brother. There was a path in the house for you to navigate but everything else was covered in everything! I always thought it was a job for "Clean House" but then we all realized she was ill. It was so sad for my brother and their children.

Hi I have been experiencing massive head spins for the last 9 months or so. It gets that bad at time it makes me very sick to my stomache. I get them while just sitting watching tv or just talking to someone. I have even had them while driving which is spooky as the whole world is spinning and I never just get 1 headspin its always another major one on top of the first one as its subsiding. I am lost on what could be wrong? Any suggestions???
